Accounting Associate

Salary: $50,000–$70,000 per year

What you will do

• Process mid-month and month-end billing, project invoices, subcontractor invoices, and vendor accounts payable.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, cash receipts, and supporting reports for review.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances through analysis.
• Create and maintain standardized reports using Excel and other cost tools.
• Support internal and external audits, leadership requests, client requests, and internal customers.
• Document procedures and contribute to process improvements and reporting automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Strong organization, multitasking, analytical, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to partner with non-accounting stakeholders and provide analysis and support.
• Positive, collaborative attitude in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• One year of accounting experience in a government-contracting company.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
