Nuclear Safety and QA Support [DOE0031030]

Location: Predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, United States, with some remote support permitted when approved by the Contracting Officer. Travel may be required across the Pacific Northwest Region.

What you will do

• Provide nuclear safety and quality assurance support for DOE Environmental Management and Hanford Field Office programs.
• Support safety-basis activities, Unreviewed Safety Question evaluations, QA oversight, audits, and assessments.
• Lead USQ evaluations supporting configuration control.
• Interface with regulators and help maintain compliance in a high-stakes nuclear cleanup environment.
• Support Environment, Safety and Health and Quality Assurance functional activities and related program and project management tasks.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of nuclear safety and quality assurance experience.
• Experience supporting DOE nuclear facilities is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment and technical clarity.
• Facility Clearance is required; a DOE clearance, including Q clearance, may be required depending on the assignment.
• Proficiency with business tools, including Microsoft Office; advanced Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word skills are preferred for the role.

Nice to have

• Advanced professional certifications.
• Experience in the Environmental Management sector.
• Experience with data analytics tools, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
