ASNT Level III NDT/NDE Specialist

Location: Gibsonton, Florida, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

What you will do

• Act as the site technical authority for assigned nondestructive testing methods, prioritizing Radiographic Testing and supporting VT, PT, and UTT.
• Develop, review, approve, and maintain NDT procedures, techniques, work instructions, examinations, and qualification materials.
• Interpret indications, support acceptance decisions, and resolve complex inspection issues against specifications and customer requirements.
• Administer personnel training, examinations, qualification, certification, recertification, and audit-ready records.
• Mentor Level I and Level II personnel and strengthen site capability through structured training and knowledge transfer.
• Support audits, equipment and process qualification, new product introduction, root cause analysis, corrective actions, automation, and digital inspection.

Requirements

• Current ASNT Level III certification in Radiographic Testing with current Radiation Safety training required for industrial radiography.
• At least 7 years of experience training, examining, qualifying, and certifying NDT personnel and maintaining certification records.
• Significant NDT experience in manufacturing or another high-integrity industrial environment.
• Level III certification or demonstrated qualification capability in VT and PT, plus practical UTT experience.
• Knowledge of ASNT SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, ANSI/ASNT CP-105, ASME BPVC Section V, employer written practices, and customer specifications.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future employer sponsorship is required; any required export license is a prerequisite.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Current IRRSP certification.
• Strong technical writing, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
