SME Acquisition Management Support to Chief Engineer

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, supporting programs at Los Angeles Air Force Base

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 per year, depending on education and experience

What you will do

• Advise the System Program Director and Chief Engineer on requirements alignment and program execution.
• Support the Resilient Missile Warning/Missile Tracking architecture development and execution.
• Work with multidisciplinary Department of Defense technical teams and defense hardware contractors.
• Guide programs through Critical Design Reviews, Design Reviews, Readiness Reviews, and other major milestones.
• Evaluate and oversee acquisition and engineering documentation, including TEMP, SEP, PPP, LCMP, and ICDs.
• Develop and maintain Program Interface Control Documents and brief quantitative analyses to senior DoD leadership.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
• At least 15 equivalent years of experience in systems engineering and acquisition management within government, an FFRDC, or a government support or development contractor.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Technology, Operations Research, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, or the sciences is also required.
• Knowledge of systems engineering practices and acquisition management regulations for Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal communication, independent-work, and teamwork skills.
