Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

What you will do

• Design and support municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, storage facilities, and related systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, hydraulic analyses, facility assessments, and system evaluations.
• Prepare technical memoranda, engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, permit applications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Support project management through scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination, proposal development, and deliverable management.
• Conduct field investigations and provide construction administration, submittal reviews, construction observation, and startup assistance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, infrastructure design, and project delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, collection and distribution systems, pump stations, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction.
• Professional Engineer registration preferred, or the ability to obtain Idaho licensure within 12 months.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and client relationship skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a consulting engineering environment.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling, infrastructure master planning, treatment process evaluations, or facility assessments.
