Water/Wastewater Engineer

Location: United States — Dallas, Tyler, Fort Worth, and El Paso, Texas; Bentonville and Little Rock, Arkansas; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma

What you will do

• Plan, direct, and monitor technical aspects of pump station, pipeline, drinking water, and wastewater design projects.
• Perform complex engineering assignments and make decisions on significant design procedures.
• Develop and review project documents, plans, and specifications for technically complex water and wastewater projects.
• Support client relationships and serve as a technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects.
• Coordinate staffing and workload, and supervise small teams of professionals and technicians when needed.
• Implement QA/QC procedures, train personnel, and participate in governing-agency code-compliance reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the position’s location, such as a PE or P.Eng. license.
• Ability to work independently and with a project team through task completion.
• Self-motivated approach and commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• At least five years of experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.
