Salary: $24.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare metal and other materials by removing rust, paint, mill scale, and contaminants.
• Inspect workpieces and verify that surface preparation meets quality requirements.
• Select blasting media, equipment settings, and required protective equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Follow work instructions, production schedules, environmental, health, and safety requirements; document progress in CMMS and maintain an organized 6S work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to use measuring and inspection tools.
• Attention to detail, strong safety awareness, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Required PPE includes a NIOSH-approved Type 1 Class C respirator, protective suit, gloves, and hearing protection.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial painting.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience.
