Machinist I

Location: Clinton, South Carolina, USA; onsite role

Manufactures industrial coating equipment for the precise application and curing of powder coatings, liquid paint, adhesives, sealants, and food and beverage container coatings.

What you will do

• Follow work instructions, assembly procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe, high-quality production.
• Set up tool registers, mills, lathes, drills, Bridgeport equipment, switches, offsets, and computerized machinery.
• Edit CNC programs for defined production runs.
• Perform routine machinery maintenance, inspect broken or worn parts, and maintain replacement-parts inventory.
• Use calipers, gauges, indicators, micrometers, and other machining hand tools.
• Maintain an organized work area and cross-train on additional equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Certificate in machine shop technology or machinist technology.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred; an internship and schooling combination may be considered.
• A recognized apprenticeship may be required.
• Intermediate ability to read blueprints and determine critical values.
• Strong analytical, communication, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds consistently and up to 25 pounds frequently.
