Project Scheduler - Project Scheduler Sr

Location: Ft. Wayne, Indiana, United States. The role involves work at AEP locations and various project or construction sites, with some overnight travel and occasional temporary relocation to complete projects.

Salary: $74,551–$109,543 per year, depending on level and experience.

What you will do

• Define activities, durations, work sequences, dependencies, and milestones for project scope-of-work plans.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules in Primavera, SmartSheet, or assigned scheduling systems.
• Provide cost-loaded, resource-loaded, and logic-driven schedules where applicable.
• Lead schedule review meetings, document minutes and action items, and communicate schedule status to stakeholders.
• Collect progress data, maintain baselines, develop status reports, and identify schedule risks that could delay milestones.
• Prepare KPI and metrics reports, track commodity curves, and support project and outage teams.

Requirements

• Related education in accounting, business, construction management, engineering, technology, or project management, combined with 1–6 years of qualified experience depending on education and level.
• Utility operations knowledge and experience with planning, project management, cost tracking, forecasting, budgets, accounting principles, construction, or equipment and system maintenance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to develop complex spreadsheets.
• Strong organizational, planning, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision and perform scheduling techniques and analyses across all scope-of-work areas.
• Ability to safely perform light physical duties at AEP and other work sites, including construction walkdowns, ladders, unstable surfaces, and potentially hazardous conditions.

Nice to have

• Professional or trade certification such as CCMP, CETa, IQCP, PMP, or RMP.
• Utility, nuclear, construction, or maintenance project experience.
