Security Specialist III (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; office-based with occasional travel

What you will do

• Support security services for personnel, visitors, and customers.
• Manage classified materials, security documentation, records, visitor control, and facility security operations.
• Develop and implement security compliance procedures, policies, and administrative processes.
• Conduct security awareness training and participate in internal and external audits and assessments.
• Respond to security incidents and support investigations, reporting, ICD-705 buildouts, and Construction Security Plan protocols.
• Mentor and train junior security personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4+ years of related experience; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Current U.S. Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and any required SCI or SAP access.
• Knowledge of security regulations, compliance practices, 32 CFR 117/NISPOM, and applicable SCI/SAP regulations.
• Strong verbal and electronic communication skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an office, handle classified information securely, use a computer for extended periods, and travel occasionally.

Nice to have

• Military or aerospace and defense industry experience.
• Advanced industrial security knowledge and experience with security information management systems.
• Experience with access control, visitor control, badge management, ICD regulations, SCI/SAP security, DISS, or NISS.
