Financial Consulting Manager - Finance as a Service

Location: Boston, United States

Salary: $95,400–$192,000 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Manage accounting and finance functions for multiple clients in a shared-services environment, acting in a Controller capacity.
• Lead client design sessions covering chart of accounts, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, month-end close, and record-to-report processes.
• Manage, coach, and motivate client-service representatives, associates, senior associates, and supervisors.
• Review financial statements, perform variance and actual-to-budget analysis, and provide decision support to client management.
• Identify process improvements and technology integrations that increase month-end close efficiency.
• Direct client assessments, implementations, onboarding, engagement budgeting, service agreements, statements of work, and proposal activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Progressive accounting and financial-management experience in roles such as Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, Director of Finance, or CFO.
• Strong knowledge of technical financial accounting, GAAP, management accounting, and operational finance.
• Experience with FP&A, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proven leadership, management, coaching, organizational, and client-communication skills.
• Experience with automated accounting systems such as Intacct, NetSuite, BlackLine, Bill.com, or Tallie; CPA is preferred.
