Stylist

Location: Onsite in Baltimore, MD; candidates must be local to the Baltimore area or willing to commute.

What you will do

• Style products, mannequins, models, laydowns, and lifestyle imagery according to photography briefs, creative direction, and client style guides.
• Prepare footwear, apparel, accessories, props, and mannequins for photo shoots by steaming, cleaning, organizing, and arranging materials.
• Support outfit changes, mannequin styling, product transitions, and visual consistency throughout on-set production.
• Create styling documentation and visual references, and contribute to pre-production meetings and postmortems.
• Maintain wardrobe, prop, mannequin, and styling inventories, including temporary acquisitions, returns, repairs, and replacements.
• Prepare, package, ship, and track products while completing production calendars, daily summaries, expense reports, time tracking, and mileage documentation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a stylist, photographer’s assistant, visual merchandiser, or in a related role.
• Knowledge of commercial digital photography workflows and the ability to style products using material, silhouette, and prop selection.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, creative problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Moderate proficiency with macOS and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work onsite on a flexible, variable-hour schedule, including long shoot days, early preparation times, and client-driven schedules. Physical requirements include standing for a full workday, working in low-light studio environments, and lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with digital photography equipment and workflows.
• Experience with web-based database and inventory management tools such as Workhorse, Access, or barcoding software.
• Merchandising or photography certification.
• Experience in a creative agency, studio, or content production environment.
