Resettlement Case Management Intern

Location: Hybrid (Baltimore, MD, USA). Must be based in the Baltimore metropolitan area to perform field work and office visits.

Compensation: Unpaid (eligible for $15 per day per diem reimbursement)

What you will do

• Assist clients with housing setups, EBT card activation, and applying for Social Security or Maryland ID cards.
• Coordinate transportation for clients to medical and other required appointments.
• Conduct orientation sessions on banking, grocery shopping, and using public transportation in Baltimore.
• Maintain case files and document services through detailed case notes.
• Support the resettlement team in promoting the self-sufficiency of refugees and asylees.

Requirements

• Fluency in English required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance for regular travel throughout Baltimore.
• Availability to work at least 15 hours per week (minimum 3 days in-office) from June 8 to September 11, 2026.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based database applications.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
• Interest or experience in social work or working with immigrant populations.

Nice to have

• Bilingual ability in languages predominant to the local client base.
• Prior experience in case management or social work.
