Cyber Intern: Summer 2027 (Cybersecurity)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska, United States; hybrid schedule with on-site work at the Omaha office. Must live within commuting distance from May 26 through July 30, 2027.

What you will do

• Monitor security alerts, investigate threats, and support incident response alongside SOC analysts.
• Gain hands-on exposure to Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Cribl, and CyberArk.
• Complete SOC Core Skills, Sentinel KQL training, immersive labs, and Cyber Tatanka simulations.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering, Application Security, and Access Management teams.
• Deliver a capstone project focused on alert fidelity, infrastructure automation, or observability dashboards.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong interest in enterprise security and infrastructure.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.
• Experience or interest in security operations, cloud infrastructure and automation, identity and access management, or observability and performance engineering.
• Must live within commuting distance of the Omaha office during the internship period.
