Cyber Incident Handler (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Provide Tier 2 support for escalations from a managed detection and response service.
• Monitor, detect, analyze, and manage cyber incidents with internal and external security partners.
• Improve event analysis operations and security automation.
• Develop threat-hunting capabilities and new SIEM use cases.
• Investigate false positives and tune alerts with security teams.
• Lead small to medium-sized security projects as directed by management.

Requirements

• Internship or similar entry-level experience in an IT role is desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and handle ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Security certification or accreditation from Offensive Security, ISC2, including CISSP, and/or GIAC.
