Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Location: Eglin AFB, Florida, United States; no remote or telework allowed.

Salary: $1,000 per month.

What you will do

• Develop and manage system requirements throughout their lifecycle.
• Build and maintain system architectures and models using MBSE tools and digital engineering methodologies.
• Apply the Unified Architecture Framework to create architecture views, viewpoints, relationships, and model traceability.
• Track program requirements and performance metrics while managing systems engineering processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to align and integrate systems engineering and architecture activities.
• Support requirements verification, compliance assessments, design reviews, integration, validation, and Test & Evaluation activities.

Requirements

• BS with 5–7 years of experience, MS with 3–5 years, or PhD with 0–2 years.
• Hands-on experience applying UAF in an MBSE environment is required.
• Experience with open systems standards and approaches, including MOSA, WOSA, and GCIA, across ground, air, maritime, space, or joint systems.
• Proficiency with MBSE tools and methodologies, including Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance must be maintained.

Nice to have

• Test & Evaluation experience involving test planning, requirements verification, integration, test execution, or system-performance evaluation.
• Experience supporting major systems engineering technical reviews within DoD acquisition programs.
