Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Location: Remote; must be a US citizen due to the nature of the federal defense work

hirify.global is recruiting for a leading federal defense contractor developing next-generation undersea weapons systems.

What you will do

• Define and model system architectures, stakeholder interactions, and system-of-interest boundaries using MBSE methodologies.
• Capture problem and conceptual solution spaces for next-generation torpedo products.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop system security documentation and support accreditation, certification, evaluation, and testing.
• Evaluate systems, networks, and information architectures for compliance with government security specifications.
• Generate technical engineering products and shape reusable frameworks across multiple product lines, including AI-driven process improvements.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on Model-Based Systems Engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Cameo System Modeler, also known as NoMagic, MagicDraw, or Cameo.
• Experience leading the systems development lifecycle, including requirements management and system modeling.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing, developing, and testing underwater vehicle systems.
