Location: Danvers, Massachusetts, United States; onsite role

Hourly rate: $31.00–$39.00. Eligible new hires may receive a one-time $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including aircraft, satellite, medical, missile, and unmanned aerial systems.

What you will do

  • Assemble and solder electronic components under a microscope using SMT, through-hole, and fine-gauge wire techniques.
  • Perform microscope-assisted soldering at 10–40x magnification in accordance with IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Read schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering instructions for complex assembly, rework, and test-equipment builds.
  • Perform board-level rework, touch-up, magnetics winding, wire and cable harness assembly, bonding, repairs, and modifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers to update drawings, parts lists, and processes and recommend production improvements.
  • Build tooling jigs, automated and manual test equipment, and support continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of electronics assembly experience, preferably in a research and development environment.
  • Experience with wire harness assembly, crimping, wiring, terminal soldering, repair and rework procedures, and schematic or print reading.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certificate in soldering/desoldering and certificate in circuit board modification.
  • Effective communication with technicians, engineers, and other non-manufacturing personnel.
  • Must be eligible to obtain authorization to access U.S. export-controlled information and comply with ITAR and applicable security investigation requirements.
