Assembly Technician (Drones and Electronics)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California; local candidates only. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience. Non-exempt hourly position.

What you will do

• Assemble drones, antenna assemblies, subcomponents, and electronic systems.
• Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to interpret work orders and complete final assemblies.
• Solder electrical components and install wire assemblies using soldering stations and hand tools.
• Complete work instructions and document nonconformances.
• Identify assembly issues and recommend build improvements while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Adapt to changing assemblies and new product lines, including light repair work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using drills, torque wrenches, socket sets, rulers, and calipers.
• Experience reading and following detailed work instructions.
• Practical soldering and desoldering skills.
• Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder, or eligible to obtain required authorizations for ITAR-controlled defense manufacturing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive physical assembly work.

Nice to have

• Experience with dimensional inspection tools, hand fabrication, CNC equipment, vacuum forming, or test ovens.
• Experience with packaging, shipping, or inventory operations.
• Familiarity with AS9100D or ISO9001 manufacturing requirements.
• Forklift operator or HAZMAT certification.
