is an energy company building a new AI team to develop production-ready AI applications and workflows.
What you will do
- Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and autonomous or multi-agent workflows using Claude, Azure OpenAI, and other large language models.
- Build and maintain data pipelines connecting Snowflake and Azure Databricks to AI and machine learning workflows, including dbt-based transformations.
- Develop agentic systems with the Claude Agent SDK and Azure AI Foundry Agent Service, including tool use, retrieval-augmented generation, and multi-step reasoning.
- Build evaluation harnesses and testing frameworks to measure model and agent quality, reliability, and safety.
- Prototype emerging AI tools, models, and frameworks and recommend solutions that provide business value.
- Collaborate with data science, data engineering, IT, and business stakeholders while supporting data privacy, access control, and AI governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Two to four years of hands-on experience building and shipping software, data, or AI/ML applications in production.
- Strong Python proficiency and experience writing tested, maintainable code.
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience with at least one cloud data platform, such as Snowflake or Databricks.
- Hands-on experience building applications with large language models or generative AI APIs.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub, testing, CI/CD, common design patterns, cross-functional communication, self-directed learning, and ambiguity.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure AI Foundry, Anthropic Claude, the Claude Agent SDK, or comparable agent frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, chunking, retrieval, and semantic search.
- Experience converting unstructured documents, PDFs, emails, or images into structured data.
- Experience with dbt, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, or cloud deployment.
- Energy industry experience, open-source AI contributions, personal AI projects, or participation in the AI developer community.
