Senior Product Engineer (React)

Location: Remote within the United States; applications are currently accepted from AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IN, IL, IA, KS, MA, MD, MN, MO, MT, NC, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, and WV.

Salary: $175K–$220K plus bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain product features using React, NextJS, and modern JavaScript.
• Architect and implement new product capabilities while improving existing functionality.
• Lead technical decisions and establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and sustainable processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as the in-house engineering team grows.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into effective user experiences.
• Balance technical debt with feature development and contribute to technical strategy and engineering culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in early-stage or founding engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in React, JavaScript, and modern frontend development.
• Experience with NextJS or a similar React framework.
• Understanding of database design and SQL, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing complex features, making architecture decisions, mentoring developers, and optimizing performance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and remote-work skills.
