Facilities Engineering Manager (Biotech)

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for building infrastructure, utilities, and facility systems.
• Lead maintenance and engineering activities across the site with internal teams and external service providers.
• Develop maintenance plans, critical spare-parts strategies, job plans, and asset-reliability improvements.
• Manage the technical performance, training, and continuous improvement of engineering service partners.
• Lead facility improvements, site shutdowns, capital projects, and engineering process initiatives while meeting quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives.
• Maintain inspection readiness through accurate compliance documentation and timely completion of regulatory activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or another relevant engineering discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of facilities and/or engineering experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• GMP facility experience is required.
• Strong negotiation, communication, technical writing, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience using a CMMS to plan and execute maintenance programs; Maximo experience is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple complex assignments, work with enterprise information systems, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Honeywell Niagara and Siemens Desigo systems.
• Master's degree in engineering.
