Oncology Patient Consult Staff Pharmacist (AZ, FL, IN, OH, TN) - Remote (Oncology)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must reside and hold a current pharmacist license in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, or Tennessee. Training is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST for 8 weeks. After training, the schedule is four weekdays from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST plus Saturday; Tuesday or Wednesday is off.

Salary: $54–$91 per hour, depending on experience and geographic location. Annual bonus eligibility is anticipated.

What you will do

• Interpret physicians’ and prescribers’ prescriptions and verify prescription data entered in the system.
• Consult with patients about medication use and potential drug interactions.
• Contact physicians and patients to verify prescription details and obtain new or transfer authorizations.
• Collaborate with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred medications when appropriate.
• Track order status, resolve outstanding issues, and respond to lost-order or dispensing-error calls.
• Maintain production, quality, and service levels; support other pharmacists and train less experienced pharmacists as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• Current pharmacist license in good standing and residence in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, or Tennessee required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, collaboration, customer service, quality, and accuracy skills.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions, manage timelines, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Home internet must use cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds.

Nice to have

• Specialty or oncology pharmacy experience.
• PharmD degree.
