Location: Chestnut Hill South, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite

Salary: $44.14–$109.51 per hour

What you will do

  • Assess patients and families, develop nursing care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Administer medications, chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and procedural medications in accordance with clinical policies.
  • Perform pre-procedural assessments, medication reconciliation, IV access, laboratory work, sedation monitoring, and post-sedation recovery.
  • Provide patient and family education, psychosocial support, discharge teaching, and referrals to community resources.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, coordinate patient flow, delegate care, and function as charge nurse when needed.
  • Support quality improvement, clinical research, specimen collection, biopsy procedures, and Joint Commission readiness.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing; a bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred. Associate degree holders must complete a BSN within four years.
  • Completion of the Oncology Nurse Residency Program or at least one year of recent Registered Nurse experience.
  • Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or, as appropriate, the State of New Hampshire.
  • AHA BLS certification required; AHA ACLS is accepted as the minimum requirement.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, independent decision-making, effective communication, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy setting with complex patients ranging from young adults to geriatrics.

Nice to have

  • Ambulatory or oncology nursing experience.
  • Professional certification such as OCN, BMTCN, CPHON, AOCNP, CRNI, or RN-BC.
