What you will do
- Supervise and direct crew members on site while making safety a top priority.
- Manage excavating activities and coordinate assigned personnel and equipment.
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet project schedules.
- Interpret project specifications and plans, including survey and grade staking using lasers, transits, and GPS.
- Complete weekly crew time cards and daily foreman reports.
- Analyze and resolve unexpected field issues.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a foreman or supervisor in highway heavy civil construction.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment, power tools, and non-power tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong motivation, time management, multitasking, prioritization, and attention to detail.
