Senior Underwriter Surety

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work arrangement

Base salary: EUR 72,000–120,000 annually for a full-time role, plus potential performance-based annual bonus.

What you will do

• Define and execute priorities supporting growth for the Surety Iberia business.
• Underwrite new and existing clients in line with internal guidelines and portfolio strategy.
• Acquire and manage client relationships while originating and processing business opportunities.
• Assess credit and transactional risks and complete legal due diligence for new business.
• Develop account strategies, expand market coverage, and manage the client portfolio.
• Meet clients and brokers, monitor market opportunities, represent hirify.global at conferences and associations, and mentor junior professionals.

Requirements

• Significant experience in surety, commercial banking, credit risk, or related financial services, with strong market knowledge.
• Experience delivering credit, guarantee, and surety solutions to multinational, large, and midsized corporate customers.
• End-to-end understanding of the surety value chain and strong knowledge of financial markets, debt financing, and capital market instruments.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, entrepreneurial, and solution-development skills.
• University degree or equivalent qualification in finance, economics, law, or a related discipline.
• Native Spanish and proficiency in English, written and verbal, are essential; willingness to travel throughout Europe is required.
