Senior Underwriter Financial Lines (MLC & FI)

What you will do

• Underwrite assigned Management Liabilities Commercial (MLC) and Financial Institutions (FI) risks within the Financial Lines department.
• Operate within personal underwriting authority and make sound business decisions based on delegated authority.
• Develop broker relationships, support the front desk and customer service groups, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Drive the sales process for new products and maintain target lists to generate submissions and meet new-business targets.
• Review underwriting guidelines and recommend modifications based on business and risk considerations.

Requirements

• Relevant commercial insurance experience in Financial Lines departments.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and technical skills, with knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, procedures, and techniques.
• Negotiation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, work in a team, focus on clients, and solve problems.
• Law, Economics, Business Administration, or Risk Management degree preferred.
