Annual salary: $85,000–$95,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Present news stories and other content across broadcast, web, and social media platforms.
• Write, research, copy edit, and produce newscasts while maintaining journalistic integrity and production quality.
• Report from the field, conduct interviews, and respond to breaking news and urgent newsroom situations.
• Provide direction to newsroom staff and coach, mentor, and motivate team members.
• Edit video clips, write website and eMedia content, and interact with viewers on social media.
• Participate in promotional activities, public appearances, and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Fluent English and excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
• At least five years of experience in news reporting or anchoring, subject to market size.
• Superior on-air presence and extensive knowledge of local and national current events, history, newsmakers, and issues.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and collaborate effectively.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; flexibility to work any shift; SAG-AFTRA union membership required.
