What you will do
- Prepare and document logistics materials, including spares, tools, and equipment.
- Manage shipping and routing while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain and analyze records for equipment, components, repair parts, and manuals.
- Optimize the allocation and organization of storage facilities.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely material delivery.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Logistics Specialist I employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Knowledge of state, federal, and global logistics regulations, including import/export requirements.
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills and understanding of inventory and supply chain principles.
- Experience with inventory databases.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency with logistics software and tools.
- Experience with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
- HazMat training or certification, forklift operation, shipping databases, CDL, or experience with shelf-life management.
- Background in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
