District Manager (Retail)

Location: Field Office - California; responsibility for the San Francisco and Sacramento markets, with travel between multiple markets as needed.

Annual pay range: $143,100–$189,150.

What you will do

• Drive sales and profits by executing corporate initiatives, analyzing business metrics, and coaching store management teams.
• Build effective teams through mentoring, developmental pathways, stretch assignments, succession planning, and hiring.
• Set objectives and reinforce accountability for store standards, business results, customer service, presentation, operations, and marketing plans.
• Collaborate with management teams and business partners on organization, delegation, and resource utilization.
• Lead local vendor management, including cost collection, inventory, and merchandising services.
• Analyze competitors and develop strategies to strengthen market position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of retail experience, including supervision of multiple units.
• Working knowledge of store operating standards and experience driving sales through customer service.
• Proven leadership, recruiting, staffing, training, and management-team development experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and influence direct reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel, and ability to travel between markets.
