Stores Assistant

Location: Onsite in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire West and Chester, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Receive, inspect, receipt, organise, and issue stock and materials.
• Maintain inventory records using SAP, inventory systems, and manual logs.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct stock checks, and support audits and inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in storage areas while following quality and environmental procedures.
• Assist with returns, damaged or obsolete stock disposals, and general workshop duties.
• Support procurement and logistics teams with inventory-related tasks.

Requirements

• Experience working in a stores environment, ideally within an engineering company.
• Forklift Truck licence; training can be provided if required.
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• SAP experience is beneficial but not essential; training can be provided.
• Ability to take ownership, take pride in work, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
