Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) - Pearland, Tx (oncology infusion care): Providing professional nursing care and administering chemotherapy, medications, blood products, and other therapies in an oncology clinic with an accent on patient assessment, treatment coordination, and safe medication administration. Focus on assessing laboratory results, facilitating dose modifications, accessing implanted ports and central lines, and managing patient and family education.

Location: Pearland, Texas, United States; onsite. Monday through Friday with no weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts.

What you will do

  • Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care according to established nursing standards.
  • Assess patient and family needs and provide education and instructional materials.
  • Prepare and administer chemotherapy, medications, blood products, and other therapies under physician supervision.
  • Assess patients and laboratory results, consult treatment protocols, calculate doses, and facilitate dose modifications with physicians.
  • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, maintain central-line catheter devices, and document patient care accurately.
  • Apply reimbursement procedures and charge-capture requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN state license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification and ongoing continuing education.
  • Level I: 0–3 years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Level II: At least 3 years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Senior level: At least 5 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in oncology; oncology certification preferred.
