Senior R&D Mechanical Designer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid in Anoka, Minnesota, US, with four days per week onsite

Salary: $54,300–$100,800 per year, with potential eligibility for annual incentives

What you will do

• Design 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for sheet metal components, coolant distribution units, and manifolds.
• Create manufacturing-ready drawings, bills of materials, and specifications for internal production and external suppliers.
• Support new product introduction from concept and prototyping through validation and production release.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing engineering, and production teams on performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, pilot builds, and hands-on resolution of fit, form, and function issues.
• Implement engineering changes, perform tolerance stack-ups and basic design calculations, and improve design documentation standards.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in drafting, design, or a related technical field.
• Ideally 5+ years of mechanical drafting or design experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal design principles and metal fabrication processes.
• Experience creating detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation, plus familiarity with PDM and/or PLM systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams; working knowledge of GD&T is preferred.
