Associate Design Engineer (Sheet Metal)

What you will do

• Create and revise 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks Pro.
• Support senior engineers in converting product concepts into production-ready documentation.
• Prepare engineering drawings, bills of materials, and fabrication documentation.
• Participate in prototype builds, product testing, design validation, and design reviews.
• Answer routine design questions from Manufacturing and implement approved revisions.
• Maintain engineering documentation in SolidWorks PDM Pro and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, completed or expected before employment.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical design principles.
• Working knowledge of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and routine engineering calculations.
• Fluent English and the ability to communicate effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills; willingness to learn and accept coaching.

Nice to have

• Internship, co-op, senior design project, or other hands-on engineering experience.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication concepts.
• Experience with PDM or ERP systems.
