TL;DR

Sr. Member of Technical Staff II (BIOS/UEFI): Leading BIOS architecture, platform bring-up, and firmware customization for Intel, AMD, and ARM-based systems with an accent on UEFI development, customer enablement, and system-level troubleshooting. Focus on resolving complex firmware, hardware, driver, and operating system issues, managing OEM/ODM escalations, and providing technical leadership through mass production.

Location: Taipei, Taiwan. The role requires satisfactory proof of the right to work in Taiwan.

What you will do

Lead BIOS development and platform bring-up for Intel-, AMD-, and ARM-based systems.
Design, implement, and customize UEFI BIOS features for customer and product requirements.
Investigate root causes and resolve complex firmware, hardware, driver, and operating system issues.
Act as the primary technical interface for OEM/ODM customers and manage technical escalations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product development, delivery, and mass production.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship while promoting firmware development best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in BIOS/UEFI firmware development and platform bring-up.
Strong expertise in UEFI architecture, EDK II, and BIOS development.
Expert-level C programming and extensive debugging experience in x86 and/or ARM environments.
Experience troubleshooting system-level issues across firmware, hardware, drivers, and operating systems.
Experience supporting OEM/ODM customers and participating in customer-facing technical discussions.

Nice to have

Experience leading technical teams and managing critical customer escalations.
Knowledge of ACPI, PCIe, USB, SMBIOS, Secure Boot, TPM, and platform security technologies.
