BMC Firmware Engineer

Location: Taipei City, Taiwan; onsite full-time role

What you will do

• Design, develop, code, and debug BMC firmware for cloud server platforms.
• Develop reference code, collateral, and related technical documentation.
• Review firmware and software architecture specifications and provide technical feedback.
• Analyze motherboard, BMC, processor, memory, and I/O specifications to improve platform reliability and compatibility.
• Participate in platform power-on events and key product development activities.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and cross-team validation organizations to resolve software and BMC issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of BMC development experience, including user interface or presentation-layer development.
• Knowledge of server hardware interfaces and specifications including SMBus/I2C, PCIe, ACPI, DDR, IPMI, Ethernet, SATA, and SPI.
• Understanding of processor, enterprise system-level, PC, BIOS, operating system, and BMC architectures.
• Experience with enterprise platforms, BMCs, drivers, I/O technologies, and board-level diagnostic tools.
• Demonstrated C coding and x86 Assembly language skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenBMC and/or Redfish technology.
