Assistant Project Manager (Construction)

What you will do

• Manage assigned construction projects and scopes under the direction of the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Prepare preliminary estimates, budgets, job cost plans, and contract change proposals.
• Select subcontractors, solicit and review bids, and negotiate changes with owners.
• Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, CPM schedules, project documentation, and closeout materials.
• Monitor construction progress, project costs, safety, and adverse situations with the Superintendent and project management.
• Communicate project progress with owners’ representatives and represent the company in project meetings when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• 2–3 years of general construction experience.
• Knowledge of construction, quantity take-offs, and estimating.
• Computer skills and knowledge of project management and scheduling.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
