Pest Technician (Grand Rapids)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States; field-based work at residential customer properties.

What you will do

• Inspect client properties for pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved chemicals, baits, traps, and other pest control treatments in accordance with safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention and advise them on reducing future infestation risks.
• Build customer relationships, schedule and confirm appointments, support sales to existing customers, and develop new business.
• Maintain, stock, and safely operate pest control equipment and a company-provided service vehicle.
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations for pest control products and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
• Clean-shaven face required so respirators can properly seal.
• Ability to work independently, work Monday through Friday and weekends as needed, and work every other Saturday.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding conditions, including climbing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and working at heights.
• Solid reading, writing, verbal communication, and basic math skills; willingness to learn pest control practices.
