Telephone Time Host (Radio)

What you will do

• Host “Telephone Time,” a local talk show airing from 9 AM to 12 noon.
• Inform and entertain the audience while supporting local advertisers and promoting products, services, and events.
• Conduct and prepare for guest interviews in the studio and by phone.
• Use studio tools and prepared material to keep live content fresh and conversations moving.
• Coordinate live sponsor schedules, calls, live and recorded copy, mailbag and event listings, garage sale lists, and X updates during the show.
• Record interviews and segments, host occasional Saturday shows, work additional board hours, and provide voiceovers when needed.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong diligence and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proficiency with desktop and laptop applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A personable approach when working with the public and the ability to multitask calmly during live radio.

• Scheduled hours are 8 AM–1 PM, Monday through Friday.
• This is a 0.75 position with room for advancement.
