What you will do

• Produce and report news stories for digital and broadcast platforms, providing context and accurate background.
• Research events and issues, conduct interviews, and arrange access to relevant sources.
• Pitch timely local story ideas and evaluate assignments, leads, and tips.
• Write, revise, and edit reports to meet editorial standards, formatting requirements, and deadlines.
• Shoot and edit video to create broadcast and online news reports.
• Collaborate with producers and news managers to set priorities and meet time requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Fluency in English and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• At least two years of news reporting experience, depending on market size.
• Strong on-air presence, delivery, and ability to ad lib when required.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and proficiency with standard office equipment.
