Overnight Associate Scientist (12-Hour Shifts)

Location: Melrose Park, Illinois, United States; onsite overnight work in laboratory, aseptic processing, and clean room areas

Salary: $26.00–$28.00 per hour, plus a $1.75 per hour overnight shift differential

What you will do

• Collect and test environmental monitoring samples from aseptic fill lines, isolators, compounding areas, sterility suites, component preparation areas, and clean rooms.
• Collect and process WFI, clean steam, and compressed gas samples.
• Perform particulate, bioburden, endotoxin, TOC, conductivity, growth promotion, sub-culturing, and Gram-staining tests.
• Prepare media, reagents, sanitizing solutions, and testing equipment while maintaining aseptic technique and gowning certification.
• Enter and track microbiological results in the LIMS database and compile environmental monitoring data for critical system release.
• Support investigations, corrective actions, equipment requalifications, special projects, training, and laboratory documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, or an associate degree with 1–3 years of relevant laboratory or pharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Some college education with at least 5 years of relevant laboratory or progressive pharmaceutical laboratory experience may also qualify.
• Relevant experience may come from testing, food, cosmetic, veterinary, or hospital laboratories.
• Effective spoken and written English is required for understanding regulated procedures, training materials, policies, and workplace communications.
• Ability to follow cGMP, GLP, safety, housekeeping, 5S, and good documentation practices.
