Director, Supply Chain Network Planning, Cell & Gene Therapy

Location: El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $191,250–$247,500 per year, plus potential discretionary annual bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead integrated business planning across Commercial, Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Technical Operations, and external partners.
• Develop short-, mid-, and long-range demand, supply, inventory, and capacity plans for commercial and clinical Cell & Gene Therapy products.
• Manage end-to-end planning for individualized, make-to-order CAR-T therapies, including apheresis scheduling, manufacturing slot allocation, product release, and treatment center delivery.
• Lead viral vector planning and integrated supply plans spanning plasmid supply, vector manufacturing, drug substance, fill-finish, and drug product operations.
• Develop supply chain network strategy, capacity analyses, risk mitigation, contingency plans, and resiliency strategies across internal and external networks.
• Lead, coach, and develop planners, analysts, and managers while building capabilities in network design, analytics, and supply chain decision-making.

Requirements

• PhD with 8 years, Master’s degree with 10 years, or Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of progressive supply chain experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biologics, or advanced therapies.
• Experience in planning, supply chain strategy, network planning, operations, or a related function, including 7 or more years of leadership experience preferred.
• Experience supporting commercial CAR-T, Cell Therapy, Gene Therapy, or advanced therapy products.
• Knowledge of vein-to-vein supply chains, manufacturing slot management, apheresis planning, viral vector manufacturing, cryogenic logistics, Chain of Identity, and Chain of Custody requirements.
• Experience with integrated business planning, S&OP, capacity modeling, inventory optimization, scenario planning, and risk management.
• Experience with SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA, Kinaxis, Oracle SCM, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, advanced analytics, or equivalent tools.

Nice to have

• MBA, MS in Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent certification.
