Software Development Engineer - Fullstack (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; employees may live in any of the 50 states, with limited exceptions

Salary: $136,300–$217,700 annually in California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC; $129,500–$206,900 annually in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia. Eligible for equity awards.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain fullstack features and services, including performant and secure user interfaces and APIs.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and engineering partners to refine requirements and deliver iterative improvements.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; create automated tests and participate in code reviews.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production applications using logs, metrics, and alerts.
• Contribute to technical designs, documentation, implementation plans, and trade-off analysis for moderately complex systems.
• Mentor peers through pairing, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and supporting web applications or services.
• Experience with both frontend and backend development using modern web technologies, including JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks and at least one server-side language or framework.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Understanding of generative AI capabilities and experience building applications across NLP and computer vision.
• Proficiency with LangChain or LlamaIndex for building applications using LLM APIs.
