1st Line Senior Risk Manager (Financial Services)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; in-office at least four days per week with one flexible work-from-home day

Base salary: $114,500–$157,400 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide operational risk and controls expertise and lead risk management strategies for the investment management business.
• Establish governance frameworks, reporting routines, change controls, and stakeholder communication across regions and departments.
• Identify high-risk processes and controls, develop annual testing programs, and support remediation and effectiveness reviews.
• Coordinate risk events, lead remediation working groups, and facilitate crisis prevention and post-event follow-up sessions.
• Oversee key risk indicator populations and reporting, escalate risks, and help return breaches to approved tolerances.
• Support operational resilience by defining important business service metrics, service tolerances, and scenario stress tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of risk management, with strong knowledge of risk and controls management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time-management, communication, relationship-management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to lead, partner with, and influence stakeholders across leadership levels and global teams.
• Valid United States work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• CFA, CRM, or similar certification.
• Strong internal and external relationship-management experience.
