Associate Scientist I (Biopharmaceuticals)

Pace Analytical Life Sciences provides contract research and development services for biologics, nucleic acid therapeutics, small molecules, and other biopharmaceutical drug candidates.

What you will do

• Perform analytical testing of samples using written methods, procedures, and good documentation practices.
• Execute development experiments, analyze data, and write analytical test methods.
• Support formulation and characterization activities for biopharmaceuticals.
• Present scientific results and planned experiments in reports and verbal discussions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot scientific instruments and equipment.
• Keep the laboratory organized and communicate progress to stakeholders while meeting agreed timelines.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
• 0–2 years of industry experience performing routine testing or developing analytical methods for biotherapeutics.
• Strong undergraduate-level understanding of the physical sciences.
• Experience or knowledge in analytical methods such as HPLC/UPLC, CE, cIEF, UV/Vis spectroscopy, or ELISA.
• Background maintaining and troubleshooting scientific instruments and equipment.
• Excellent written and oral communication, flexibility, and time-management skills.
