Network Engineering Intern

What you will do

• Support day-to-day operations of highly available corporate, e-commerce, and real-time transactional network infrastructure.
• Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, and related network components.
• Analyze existing networks and contribute to the architecture of new network solutions.
• Work with Network Engineering, AS/400, Unix, Development, QA, Helpdesk, Project Management, and remote-site personnel.
• Gain hands-on exposure to Cisco, Fortinet, and A10 technologies.

Requirements

• Pursuing a technology or network engineering degree, or working toward or having completed a CCNA or other network certification.
• Knowledge of Bash, Perl, or Python scripting and general software engineering concepts.
• Understanding of network automation, BGP in multi-homed and multi-site environments, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Knowledge of MPLS and IPsec WAN technologies, Cisco IOS, A10 load balancers, Cisco ASA, Fortinet firewalls, Cisco ISE, and Meraki Wireless.
• Ability to read packet captures and understand TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, SNMP, HTTP, NTP, and SSH.
