Program Manager (Electric Utility)

What you will do

• Lead planning and execution of multi-year electrical-grid resiliency projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, procurement, and regulatory compliance teams.
• Manage relationships with utility partners and serve as the primary client contact.
• Track milestones, deliverables, risks, and mitigation plans, and present status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors to support timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and utility regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Program or Project Manager, preferably in the electric utility or related industry.
• Knowledge of resiliency planning, grid modernization, utility regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Experience managing financials and large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Strong customer and executive relationship skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure and facilitate cross-functional meetings.

Nice to have

• Experience working for both utilities and contractors.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
