Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Bagdad, Arizona, with travel to multiple projects and surrounding states in the Southwest region

What you will do

• Maintain and repair heavy equipment to support safe operation and maximum equipment availability.
• Perform general maintenance, lubrication, and service work on vehicles and construction equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems using technical schematics.
• Operate equipment and complete assigned maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Follow company safety protocols and take personal responsibility for safe work.
• Coordinate with supervisors and departments while working across field projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working on heavy equipment such as dozers, track hoes, loaders, haul trucks, and excavators.
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, electrical, and hydraulic skills.
• Proficient welding skills and the tools required to perform the work efficiently.
• Valid and clear Class B CDL license.
• Ability to operate equipment and work in a physically demanding, high-pressure environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel overnight, work nights, weekends, extended hours, and overtime as required.

Nice to have

• Light truck automotive mechanic experience.
