Field Service Technician II - Deployable (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Clovis, New Mexico, United States. The role requires frequent travel outside the continental United States, deployment to OCONUS operating locations for up to 90 days, and extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as needed.

What you will do

• Perform advanced maintenance, repairs, modifications, installation, and commissioning of aerospace and defense systems.
• Diagnose complex technical issues and collaborate with engineering teams to implement solutions and improve product performance.
• Guide junior field service technicians and deliver customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment status, inventory, spare parts, tools, and field equipment.
• Prepare technical reports for internal and customer review while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Travel to customer sites, including potential international locations, and support extended deployments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of technician or related experience; a relevant higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
• Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, electrical wiring concepts, and troubleshooting techniques.
• U.S. Citizenship and a current or active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance are required. Applicants without an existing clearance may be processed before employment, which begins only after clearance is granted.
• Ability to obtain a valid passport and international travel visa, pass a pre-deployment medical assessment, and meet DoD and Combatant Command requirements.
• Ability to frequently travel outside the continental United States and deploy for extended periods to OCONUS operating locations.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in a related field.
• FCC or FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
• Security+, Network+, CCNA, or A+ certification.
• Experience with spectrometers, oscilloscopes, Pitot Static equipment gauges, and software or firmware updates.
• Aerospace, defense, U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. military experience, along with strong customer service and communication skills.
