Business Development Manager - Small Molecule, Southern US

Location: Raleigh, NC, USA; must be based in the assigned Southern US territory. The territory covers North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arizona. Requires at least 40% travel for field meetings.

What you will do

• Achieve or exceed the annual revenue target for the South territory.
• Expand existing accounts and prospect for new pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing clients.
• Generate new small-molecule business aligned with market focus, operational capabilities, and laboratory capacity.
• Identify and secure opportunities through in-person meetings and virtual presentations.
• Coordinate with internal teams to advance business opportunities.
• Mentor colleagues on the Inside Business Development team.

Requirements

• Experience selling services for a pharmaceutical-sector CDMO, CRO, CTO, or testing company.
• At least two years of bio/pharmaceutical sales or project management experience in contract or testing services.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in life sciences or business administration.
• Recent experience with field travel and in-person client meetings.
• Strong scientific acumen, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
